Audie Murphy was one of the most decorated soldiers of World War II serving with the U.S. Armys 3rd Infantry Division. He dropped out of school in fifth grade. Divorced from her third husband in 1980, Wanda died shortly thereafter at age 52 of double pneumonia in Los Angeles.
